Dear Visitors,
This entire section is going to be completely reorganised and updated soon!
Siwat (May 2nd 2010)
Compilation of various projects in reverse chronological order since 1997. Certain examples of my work during my time in Sydney may not be fully functional or visible due to damage in shipment, data loss and other matters. Nevertheless I hope you find my remaining disasters interesting. All projects or artwork with educational institution names were created for educational purposes only, during my time at those educational institutions and were not used for commercial purposes. Some may contain appropriated components used due to lecturer's requirements such as Ultima, Bridge Climb & Durex and were created for educational purposes only.
Certain flash animations contain some sound clips from various artists, if said artists have not been mentioned or would like the sounds removed please contact me as university deadlines were always hectic and one can be forgetful as to where some of those sounds originated. Some design proposals however, will usually not have further details as logos of potential clients are contained within.

Year: 2008
Title: Rain + Tree
Description: Jan 2008 flash introduction sequence for this website starting off with raindrops, a floating seed landing in the centre which grows into a tree. Animation proceeds to leaves and flowers sprouting and 'wind' blowing off one leaf which comes back as a stylus/quill, 'writing' my name out in Thai. Yes it took a while to animate that tree that's why I'm reluctant to ditch it and replace it with something else that actually matches with this new layout. Music by Abhijit .

Title: Global Warming 'furoshiki'
Year: 2008
Description: 'Furoshiki' designs for selection by Kobe-based company Felissimo to be presented to the City of Kobe for the 2008 Kobe G8 Environment Ministers Meeting. The 'furoshiki' are traditional Japanese cloths used for wrapping and transportation of a large variety of goods. A more pleasant alternative to those clunky rectangular eco-bags that are being thrown around lately. More info on how to fold them at www.furoshiki.com
Now for the concept of my 'furoshiki' designs, based on an urgent environmental concern, global warming. Presented on the right, concentric circles in warm colours representing our planet and it's atmosphere, surrounded by 4 stages of a dying tree due to the 'heat', pretty obvious no? My other design attempts to emulate the 'mon' (Japanese crests) with leaves arrayed like the globally known recycle symbol and lopsided to reduce the formality.

University of Sydney - Sydney College of Arts
Title: Daydreamers
Year: 2003
Medium: Digital
Description: Conceptual work incorporating photography and digital technology. Very experimental as many things do not fit or flow properly within the project. Such as eye masking of scenery and music in the intro are not all combined into one flash movie.
A written and photographic survey was conducted amongst a variety of acquaintances of various professions asking what they would daydream about or immediate wants and desires. Each person's daydream was then interpreted and briefly animated in flash. The initial concept of the project focused upon the eyes of various subjects following some phrase 'the eyes are the gateway to one's soul'. However, it turned out awkward as people, when being photographed, the camera flash or sound of the 'click' would cause pupils to contract, being so close to tthe subjects and the images turned out unnatural like a deer caught in headlights. Recommended viewing for broadband connections only. To proceed viewing website after introduction page, the enter button is an arrow key in the bottom right corner. Intro music Edith Piaf - Les Yeux Ouverts performed by Beautiful South
