As we look to the upcoming season ahead and reflect on the season past, we can’t help but take time to reflect on the loss of our friend and benefactor, Dick Ash. Dick passed away last year but his memory is still with us.
Dick Ash was a friend and supporter of Swain Resort from the very beginning. Without his support and help over the years, the ski resort wouldn’t be where it is today. Dick was a generous and selfless man, both in business and in his personal life. He would do anything for a friend, and was always a friend to us at Swain. He was humble and kind and would often say, “If you need anything, we’re here to help.” And he meant it. While we continue to feel the sting of grief at this loss, we know that he has touched so many lives with his kindness and his memory lives on in the hearts and minds of so many.
We will be posting a plaque in the lodge to honor our dear friend – be sure to stop in and see it and if you have any memories of Dick, feel free to share.
